LINDBERG is a globally recognised eyewear brand that prides itself on having its frames designed and manufactured in Denmark. Read more about what makes their eyewear so sought-after.

Did you know?

LINDBERG was founded in 1986 by Henrik Lindberg, a Danish architect and his optometrist father, Poul-Jørn Lindberg. By combining the optometry and architectural industries, they revolutionised eyewear by creating frames that are durable, yet ultra lightweight.

Design with difference

What makes LINDBERG unique is its creative approach to minimalism. By limiting screws and rivets - most of their designs don’t contain this hardware at all - they are able to make frames weighing as little as 1.9 grams! By utilising Danish design principles, the handcrafted frames are globally recognised thanks to its use of titanium metal and iconic hinge designs.

The softer details

When looking at glasses, all the details matter. While some  tend to focus on the frames, arms and lenses, often the ‘comfort’ details are overlooked. Comfort details like nose pads and temple tips can make a huge difference to your comfort when you’re wearing your frames day in and day out. So you’ll be glad to know LINDBERG uses medical grade, hypoallergenic and slide-proof silicone to make these pieces, providing you with the ultimate comfort.

Titanium is one of the more widely used materials in the LINDBERG range but in order to appeal to everyone’s individual aesthetics, they also use cotton-based acetate and composite. Which allows for richer colours in the designs.  But not everyone fancies a colourful frame, which is why they also use buffalo horn - to create the buffalo collection with wood and horn finishes. If luxury is what you’re after, LINDBERG also manufactures frames in precious metals such as 18K gold and platinum, some which include diamonds!

LINDBERG prides itself on designing frames that empower you to express your own unique personality - “be no other, be yourself”. If you’d like to try on a pair of LINDBERG’s, book a complimentary styling appointment and one of our Eyewear Specialists will assist you in choosing a frame that is uniquely you.
